We very much look forward to your participation in Japan-Latin America Dialogue “Open Regionalism: Mutual Cooperation between Japan and Latin America for ‘Quality Growth’”, organized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

In the 21st century, many countries in Asia-Pacific and Latin America have achieved rapid growth by expanding and deepening regional integrations. But, today, the foundations of international economy and security system that has sustained the development, has been challenged by the recent changes, including the rise of China, the Brexit and major policy shifts by the Trump administration.

In this dialogue, we will discuss how “Open Regionalism” can contribute to the development of high quality cooperation between Japan and Latin American countries amid the changing political and economic environment surrounding both regions.
